Still Life
The orange slice was done in a colored pencil workshop with Cecile Baird, author of Painting Light With Colored Pencils. It effectively teaches the techniques of burnishing with color and the dramatic use of light in composing a subject for a finished drawing.

My rendition of jelly beans in a crystal candy dish illustrates the lessons learned in that workshop. The candles picture was developed for use in a beginning colored pencil workshop. It can be produced using only the basic 12-color Prismacolor set.
